UNLIMITED CELL PHONE RINGTONES?

Posted on 25 March 2009 by phone ringtones

Wow, what an option! If I had unlimited ringtones for my cell phone, I would probably change them every week or two, just because I could.

Now you can go to funtonia.com for unlimited ringtones for either a 3-month subscription now costing only $17.97 (it’s $5.99/month), or a yearly subscription for $23.88 (it’s only $1.99/month!) the yearly subscription allows you to download ringtones to three different phones; the 3-month subscription allows downloads to only one phone. They don’t charge per ringtone, nor do they charge per month. Funtonia also never renews your subscription automatically, so you are completely control of the subscription charges.

By comparison, most providers offer three or four ringtones for $9.99, and individually they are usually about $2.50 each. Sometimes your provider will offer you a “sale” on ringtones and charge $1.99 each on a limited selection.

In addition to the Hip-hop, Popular, Rap, and Country ringtones most cell-phone providers offer, on Funtonia you can get Classical ringtones from Vivaldi to Yo-Yo Ma, Gospel, Jazz, TV and movie themes, and much more - 500,000 ringtones to choose from. Just for fun, listen to some of the Background Sound Effects; if you have ever wanted to have a ringtone that sounds like the fanfare at the beginning of a horserace, you can get it here.

This website offers ringtones in either polyphonic or MP3 formats, so if your phone only supports polyphonic, or if you want music without vocals, you have that choice as well. Usually the MP3 format is the most desired, because the song will on your phone will sound just like it sounds on the radio or your CD.
The download options include by text message and by internet; by saving your unlimited ringtones to your computer and then transferring them to your phone, you don’t even need a memory card for your phone to take full advantage of Funtonia’s unlimited ringtone subscriptions. So check out Funtonia and go ringtone crazy!

WHAT WOULD YOU DO WITH UNLIMITED PHONE RINGTONES?

Posted on 24 March 2009 by phone ringtones

Now you can assign a different ringtone to each number on your list and customize the tone for the personality of the person calling. You could also assign special ringtones for businesses, and customize them according to what that business sells, such as a Jimmy Buffet cheeseburger song for the fast-food place, or a blues song for a bill collector. Although I would recommend a bit of restraint if you really don’t like the caller, as you never know who else might be around when you get that call, this could be a lot of fun.

I have assigned a country song to the horse-lover, a party song for my bar-hopper friend, a love song for the love interest in my life, and a golden oldies song for my grandmother. You can find songs to use for a child, a biker, a cat or dog lover, sister songs, brother songs, a classical song for a dancer or concert pianist, old favorites and the newest releases. If you have friends in other countries you would know from where they were calling by using national anthems for their numbers. Imagine the fun of changing the ringtones when your mood changes, or when your address changes, or whenever!

Some websites offer some really original and fun sounds in addition to more traditional ringtones, such as the sound of the ocean, Mickey Mouse laughing, the sound of a kiss, of a water drip. You can always listen to a short clip of a ringtone before you buy it - the choices are so much fun, you can spend hours just listening to the different options.

So let your imagination run wild and have some fun with those ringtones!

CELL PHONE FUN

Posted on 21 March 2009 by phone ringtones

I’d like to describe just a few ways to have fun with your cell phone. If you are traveling and there is more than one vehicle, having a cell phone in each vehicle can be useful as well as fun. If one vehicle needs to make a rest stop, it can notify the other vehicle and inform the other that the stop is not an emergency.

If there is an emergency, the vehicle needing assistance can notify the other, and they can together determine if another party needs to be involved, such as a tow truck or an emergency medical vehicle.
If there is an unusual view coming up, or if interesting wildlife has been spotted, vehicles can notify each other of the deer at the side of the road or the view of a National Monument at the next freeway exit.

When you get to your destination, another use of your cell phone is to find each other in a crowd or at a large venue such as a Parade of Homes or in a convention center such as one in Las Vegas that covers approximately five acres on each of five floors.

If you are attending a seminar or similar meeting, texting is a great way to communicate in between breaks when the ringing of a phone is frowned upon. But at a state fair, carnival, or theme park, you may want to set your ringtone the something very unusual and loud so it will be heard over the background noise. Or at a basketball, football, baseball or soccer game, you may want to set a unique ringtone for your phone so you know whether you want to answer the call during an exciting play. In addition, if your child has a cell phone at such a venue, a special ringtone denoting your child’s call could be very handy. You may not want to answer any other call except that one.

On any of these occasions, having more than one cell phone can be very handy, and very fun. So have fun with those cell phones!
